The Family and Medical Leave Act

IF LEAVE IS TAKEN ON A PART-TIME BASIS, IS THE LENGTH OF TIME EXTENDED?
Yes. If an employee can only work 20 hours per week, or half-time, then the employee is using only one-half of the weekly FMLA entitlement. Accordingly, if this same schedule were maintained, the employee would be eligible for 32 weeks one year, and 24 weeks the next year.
