THE THRIFT SAVINGS PLAN

The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) provides you with an opportunity to save a percentage of your salary on a tax-sheltered basis. The money you save is invested, at your direction, in one, two, or three investment funds: a Government Securities Investment Fund, a Fixed Income Investment Fund, and/or a Common Stock Index Investment Fund.

Two times each year an open season election period is held. Eligible employees may begin, terminate, or change contribution rates and investments. Forms are available in the Benefits Office, College Hall room 113, and in the main HRS Office, room 106. The forms can also be downloaded from the TSP Website below.
